In response to the popularity of SING-A-LONG (with children, parents,
student teachers and teachers!), complimentary copies of the size A1 (four times
size A3!) THRASS SING-A-LONG CALENDAR 2009 will soon be available from PWS (www.pws.co.za), for displaying in kitchens, classrooms and offices! These colourful wall posters have been folded to a handy A4 size and can soon be collected from any of the PWS depots in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban. Copies are also available from PWS in Windhoek, Namibia. Please telephone (Layton or Angelique on 012 523 1000), first, to check that the number of calendars you require are in stock (as some schools may want copies for each family or child - so the number of calendars
available in one particular location may be temporarily low). Alternatively, if you
would like one or more of the calendars to be posted, as folded A4, these can be
posted at a cost of R5 per calendar, R15 for 20 and R100 for 100 etc. For
information, if you are a teacher or parent of a child attending one of the Crawford
Schools group, 10,000 copies will be distributed nationally, inserted within the
next edition of the Crawford Times.

THRASS FOLLOW-UP DAYS FOR ACCREDITED CERTIFICATE HOLDERS: 31 JAN 2009
(Joburg and also Cape Town)

This workshop will show teachers how to make best use of the THRASS
resources, especially the four-year scheme of work  “15 Minutes a Day x 2”,
the Phoneme Machine software and the SING-A-LONG resources.

All delegates MUST BRING the following resources: (1) TEACHING THRASS
essential guide (2) desk size yellow Picturechart and (3) blue Overwrite
Chart – as supplied during the certificate course. Frequent reference will
be made to these three resources and also to the other resources listed
above.
