About Andrea Slatter

Andrea Slatter is the head photographer and owner of the studio. Her style is fun, funky and fresh and she has a talent for capturing those often illusive, yet distinctive childhood expressions and magic, which make for very special (and lasting) family memories.

Andrea’s interest in photography began 15 years ago and took off after she moved to the United Kingdom with her British husband, Dave. Here she completed a couple of photographic courses while honing her skills photographing London’s urban environment.

After a move to Dubai, Andrea began freelancing, shooting school photographs and studio portraits of children and families. Her ability to capture the essence of children is enough in demand for the Dubai studio to fly her out twice a year to help out during the busiest seasons. Being mostly self-trained she has managed to keep an original perspective and avoid the stodgy clichés so often typical of traditional portrait studios, while her absolute enjoyment of her work shines through in all her photographs. As a mom of three small boys Andrea has insight into the fine art of photographing small, fast moving and temperamental targets, while having lived in three countries over the past ten years has kept her eyes open and given her a taste for adventure.
