Crowdsourcing the classroom

Introduction:

Every individual can make a difference in their own way utilising their own skills and resources. If you believe in making a difference to education in our country then please take some time to have a look at the content below and submit your comments.

If you are involved with helping out schools in disadvantaged communities and schools who are crowdsourcing, we would love to hear from you. Please let us know how it is working and share with us any ideas on how others may be involved. You can also submit any web sites or current initiatives you believe should be included on this page.

Share information, download educational content for your local schools especially those with no internet or budget to do it themselves, (many videos, worksheets and even flashcards are available for free). Get creative and share your ideas. Everyone can make a difference, no matter how small.

Social Networking:

Obami.comObami.com
Obami is a social networking site that’s been developed as an e-learning, collaboration and communication platform for use within and between both primary and secondary schools. Obami was voted as one of the Top 10 most innovative technologies in January 2011. If your school has not registered with Obami, you can go on to the web site and send them a "nudge" and Obami will send your school an email to let them know more about Obami.

Last year we interviewed Barbara Mallinson, founder of Obami.com. Find out more about this podcast.
