Old School Cool commenced as the result of having personally witnessed the immensely powerful role an au pair can play in a child’s life. Finding it to be insufficient to merely screen an au pair by checking their references, Old School Cool pioneered the concept of practical evaluations.
All Old School au pairs go through a rigorous, transparent (you may view all of this information pertaining to each au pair, we do not ask you to take our word for it!!!) screening process prior to placement. This screening process includes:
- A personal interview during which the au pair is questioned and evaluated on their motives to work with children, as well as their experience and qualifications.
- A comprehensive reference check whereby written references from previous employers are obtained (so that you can view them), at the time of registration (so that they are up to date and relevant!) by Old School Cool.
- A full and stringent practical evaluation facilitated by our affiliation with Magical Moments (a wonderful child orientated charity where our au pairs are all sent for hands on experience).
ONLY au pairs who pass all three aspects of our screening process are suggested to families, NO exceptions are made!
