Can you believe the 3rd term is almost over? Just over 2 weeks until the school holidays start!
There are some great movies for the girls soon to be released this month. The good old classic teenage detective Nancy Drew and for the girlie girls there is Bratz. For the little ones the animation Ratatouille looks to be full of fun and slap stick humour.
Speaking of rats, the saga of my daughter's rat Tru is finally over. Last week she began gasping in a kind of death rattle (not for the faint hearted) and I prepared my daughter for the worst. The next morning I found Tru dead in her cage in a traditional toes up in the air position and broke the news to my daughter. Well it seemed I prepared her well as she was not upset or sad and was happy for Tru to be with Jesus. My son on the other hand was distraught. I had completely forgotten to prepare him for Tru's passing. Oh dear. Another lesson learnt I guess.
Entertainment highlights this month include the Dinosaur Encounter at Gold Reef City in Gauteng, Animal Education Workshop if you are in KZN and FUTBAL FEVA for the Capetonians.
We have some really great new book releases which you must take a look at and five new competitions to enter.
I visited the Your Baby Show on Friday last week and am happy to report that it was really well supported by the Durbanites and a great success. Jog the Frog from Clamber Club, Noddy, Big Ears and Barney had all the kids dancing, clapping and bouncing around and getting loads of exercise. There were plenty of toe tapping and singing parents too. Yes, moms and dads, I did notice you were also enjoying the show!
