Here is our first entertainment guide issue. I hope you find it useful especially with the school holidays on the horizon. We have included this month as our special feature a Party Directory with lots of fun and interesting listings. There seems to be a lot of party planning happening right now especially for the end of the year bashes. We have a lot of party venues listed and all types of entertainers to choose from.
I have on more than one occasion turned down party invitations when there have been a large number of parties happening at the same time, due to the fact that I could not take another weekend of candy coated children bouncing around the house. I would cringe as I watched my kids consume large amounts of sweets at a party and then leave with a party bag full of yet more sugary delights, knowing that they were fully fuelled for hyperactivity and difficult behaviour. This is not how I like to spend my quality time at weekends with the kids. I was very excited when River Rabbitz listed in our directory as they offer fun and colourful food for healthy kids at parties. You can combine the healthy food offering together with organic style party packs and favours such as those available from Occasional Surprises. If all parents stick together and minimise the sugar and processed food intake offered at parties, the kids will no longer notice their absence and will probably even enjoy the healthier alternatives.
