Dear Moms, Dads, Relatives, Educators and Business Owners

Kids just love to dress up and they are intrigued by things that scare them. So if you can muster up some energy this late in the year, I encourage all mums and dads to get in the halloween spirit and have a party or go trick or treating if you are in a safe housing complex. You will be surprised how much fun you will have.

Last year I had a halloween party and had a lot of fun creating creepy snacks. We had ghost toast and cheesy pretzel spiders, dead mans fingers (sausages) which my brother in law refused to go near as he said they looked too realistic and ghost cake. I even made a big ice hand which I tossed into the sour worm fruit punch and flooded the table. We all dressed up including the adults and stuck toy skeletons, spiders and beastly bugs to the wall.

The kids got a great big dose of E-numbers (food additives) from the ghost suckers and sweeties and ran around the garden like mad things playing monsters in the dark. My husband downloaded creepy Halloween music and we played musical monster statues which was hysterically funny and almost impossible for the kids to stand still with lots of sugar in their systems.They still talk about this party a year later. Toss aside the low GI brain food cook books just for one night and candy coat the kids, dress up, play games and laugh a lot - it's good for their souls and yours!
