Dear Moms, Dads, Relatives, Educators and Business Owners

This year will be the first year that we spend the Easter weekend with Grandpa at his farm. The kids, although excited, are very concerned that the Easter Bunny will not be able to find us. I have assured them I will write a letter to inform the Easter Bunny of our 2010 location.

Dad, you had better read this. I am outsourcing the Easter Egg hunt tradition to Grandpa this year. The charade has to be consistent with the year before or else there will be a flood of questions from your inquisitive grandchildren you won't have answers to!

• You have to get up around 4h30 to hide the chocolate eggs in the garden. If you leave it any later your grandson, who loves chocolate more than anything else in the world (even more so than presents from Santa) will catch you in your masquerade. Yes, he takes after you.
• You can't do it the night before as you run the risk of the dogs, insects, monkeys or midnight snacking fathers finding them.
• I suggest you keep your slippers and dressing gown (preferably white) close to your bed, it is quite cool in March at that time of the morning. Our Easter Bunny is white. The kids saw a flash of white one Easter morning when our Easter Bunny came by a little later than usual!
• You have to leave bunny paw prints. The shape is important. They have to be elongated like a humans foot not round like a teddy bear. We have a rabbit at home so they know what rabbit paws look like. The paw prints have to be made of icing sugar and not flour. The kids will check. They have no problem licking the ground.
• There must be the same amount for each child and the eggs must be the same size. Your grandson will check on this. He won't stand for being short changed on chocolate.
• There must be one each for the adults, our Easter Bunny caters for mom, dad, granny and grandpa too!
• You have to remember where you hid them, sometimes the kids need a little direction when they hunt for the eggs. I know this may difficult for you at your age (hee hee).
• I hope you enjoy reliving the days from your youth, you know, sneaking around the garden and into the house in the wee hours of the morning before your parents awoke.
• You are welcome to leave a cup of coffee next to my bed on your way back to yours!
