Dear Moms, Dads, Relatives, Educators and Business Owners

I hope you are all surviving the holidays! They seem to be going by at a rapid pace and we have yet to get through all the things we planned to do together. I am so enjoying not having to make snack boxes and get up early!

So far in the holidays we have:

• Fought aliens in the garden with sticks we sharpened on the tree stump - pesky things
• Raced balloons across the playroom attached to string by a straw and sellotape
• Listened to a Winnie the Pooh audio book (did you know that bees apparently sound like vuvuzelas - not the other way round)
• Experimented with milk, food colouring and dish washing liquid and video taped it
• Built a teepee
• Watched a live soccer game
• Discovered that if you stick your finger in a guinea pigs mouth it will bite you - my 4 year old nephew suggested we put chilli sauce in the guinea pigs mouth to teach it not to bite
• Made a knights costume and a dragon mask for a birthday party
• Had a game of soccer with toy ponies on an old toy snooker table
• Spent an afternoon at the beach
• Had a 3 way vuvuzela blowing competition with the neighbours
• Baked and iced cupcakes
• Made a boy and his blob out of clay
• Cooked Dad some brunch - breakfast on top of a pita
• Spent pocket money on Gogos, Mighty Beanz and Soccer Cards
• Built a Gogo house out of Planx
• Made felt cupcakes and pom pom pets
• Decorated glass candle holders
• Read lots of books
• Made up silly stories
• Made and painted plaster of paris dinosaurs

I love to share so I have posted some photos and resources here. My best discovery in the holidays so far have been my headphones. A highly recommended survival tool for moms for when the noise level gets too loud and you have to get some work done!
