Dear Moms, Dads, Relatives, Educators and Business Owners

February is my favourite month of the year. The whole family has settled into a routine, of which we have not yet grown tired, the social and activity calendar is filling up, yet not too full and the days are warm and humid. February is the perfect month to celebrate love, and after detoxing in January, eat copious amounts of chocolate without feeling guilty.

Do you remember the Love is cartoons popular in the 1970’s and early 80’s? Did you know they were originally created by Kim Casali from a series of love notes she wrote to her husband, Roberto? What I love about them is that they express the little everyday things that you do for the people you love in a simple and innocent cartoon. Both Kim and Roberto have passed on but Bill Asprey continues to do the daily cartoons. The Love is cartoons are making a come-back to the comics pages. You can view them on Go Comics.

As I do not have the gift or discipline to write love notes everyday Like Kim Casali, I am delighted that this year we celebrate Valentine’s Day on a Sunday. This means a whole day to celebrate and indulge in my love for chocolate, er....I mean to celebrate and be grateful for all the kinds of love, people and animals that enrich my life.

In this newsletter we have included books, DVD’s, useful web site links, and two great how to videos below for ideas on celebrating love and spoiling your loved ones this Valentine’s Day, Sunday 14th February.

The best gift you can give children to show how much you love them (in my opinion) is your time and attention.
