Dear Moms, Dads, Relatives, Educators and Business Owners

The "one day off bugs" (that is what my son calls tummy bugs) have been visiting regularly this month and are causing havoc with my working mom's juggling act. I always know when my son has a tummy bug, as he will happily share the exact details of what he has deposited in the toilet. Anyway.....let's not elaborate on that subject.

I would prefer to share something a lot more fun and memorable with you. I have been researching photos and memorabilia as home decor. I like the idea of bringing my walls to life with the preservation of memories and explorations of the past. Click here to view ideas I have collected so far.

Professional photographers are a good source of photo ideas and often include a CD of photos in their studio shoot package which you can use to get creative. For example, if you are in the Pretoria area Adore Photography are running a special for a 1 hour studio shoot at R500 which includes 30 photos on a CD. Unlike Becks and Posh, most parents don't have a posse of paparazzi capturing everyday meaningful moments, so I have included two videos and some useful web sites offering tips on how to take great photos of your baby or children.

Back to 2010. There are some fun and interesting family expos scheduled for this year. We will keep you informed and remind you what, where and when in our newsletters. This year we see the birth of a fourth Baby Expo and the first Your Child Kids Expo. Cape Town parents diarise and don't forget to visit the Kids Party Expo in Tyger Valley next weekend.
