Dear Moms, Dads, Relatives, Educators and Business Owners

There are so many wonderful parenting workshops and expos to attend (view our calendar for details) and parenting books to read at the moment. I look back over the last 4 and a half years since I started this web site and I am inspired to see that many of these great ideas are born from South African mums, dads and grandparents. Many of these businesses have developed around making a parents life easier and more fun and boy do we need all the help we can get. As Nikki Bush, author of Future-proof your child says: “We are the first generation of parents who know we don't know what the future holds.” The digital age seems to have us on our toes at all times, the germs are more robust than ever and in general life has become a whole lot more complicated.

Quite a few of these businesses have been welcomed by the overseas market, which shows the rest of the world agrees these are great ideas too! I am proud to be a South African mother and I encourage all moms who can, to make the most of attending a parenting workshop or reading a parenting book or two by a local author. Every family is different and what works for one family, does not necessarily work for another. The value for your family lies in that you can empower yourself with the knowledge that is so generously offered right now and use it as an inspiration to come up with your own creative parenting ideas that suit your family.

Strengthen your family bond and share your knowledge and ideas with your community and together we can raise future generations with even bigger and better ideas!

Ok, time to get off my virtual soap box and introduce you to my Kids Joke Box. My children made a video of kids' jokes to crack a smile on the face of those who may need it right now. I know I do! It is amazing how the small little things can make a big difference!
