Dear Readers

November has arrived, the diaries and family calendars are full, yet more invitations are arriving via schools, sports clubs, Facebook and email. This year I refuse to get stressed out by all that is on the go over the next 45 days.  Stress is a matter of perspective. So I changed my perspective of November from “crazy, too much, wish it was over,” to the following:

November is a time to….

• Fine tune my organizational skills in preparation for 2012
• Prioritise, be selective and practice saying “sorry, I am unable to” - also in preparation for 2012
• Declutter, unsubscribe and logout (less stuff means less to organise)
• Give to those less fortunate
• Feel grateful that I am living a full life with never a minute wasted
• Strengthen my will power especially when I pass by the display of Lindt chocolate Reindeers at the grocery store
• Remind myself of the importance of healthy eating and regular exercise - this is not the time to get sick!
• Not be afraid to ask for help and stop pretending I can do it all

And finally, really appreciate a quiet house (and a glass of wine or coffee if necessary) when the kids have gone to bed!
