Don't you just love those moments when your child says something that makes you realise that all your nagging and lecturing actually got through.
On Sunday my daughter was offered a chocolate cupcake at a friends house after lunch. She turned to my friend and said, "No thank you. I went to two parties yesterday and I have enough sugar in my body."
On Monday I asked my son what he would like for his birthday this year. He said, "I don't need any more toys mom. My bedroom is full of toys I never play with. I would like the Guinness Book of Records and the Over 8000 Facts You Should Know books. I want to know everything about everything."
So don't give up moms and dads, persevere and nag away - it will pay off!
