The Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve is a privately owned game reserve covering some 1400 hectares which was opened to the public in 1990. After humble beginnings - 2 white rhino and a few assorted small buck - visitors may now view a wide variety of game including some very rare and endangered species. Visitors can expect to see up to about 600 head of game. The Reserve falls within the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site (COHWHS).

The following facilities/services are available to visitors:

• A protected, fenced in day visitors area which boasts: Braai and ablution facilities, curio shop, a kiosk, swimming pool, jungle gym, volley ball court, an open sports field and the Croc Pub and Diner.
• A rest camp with three private, fully equipped chalets.
• Lion and Predator Camp.
• Vulture Hide.
• Hippo Pools.
• Breeding Centre.
• Snake and Reptile Park.
• Animal creche.
• Game Drives, Horse Trails and Educational Talks.
