All Natural, Drug-Free Remedy for: Asthma, Sinusitis, Hay fever, Respiratory illnesses & Allergies.
How it works:
- Patients sit in a comfortable chair in our spacious cave like room for an hour (Adults) or 45minutes (Kids), listening to relaxation music and breathe normally.
- Negative ionized tiny salt particles get into the respiratory system; they can even reach the deepest part of the lung (alveoli).
- Based on clinical studies, the inhaled dry saline aerosol reducing inflammation in the whole respiratory tract, absorbing edema from the mucosa lining the airway passages leading to widening of the airway passages, restoring the normal transport of mucus and unclog blockages in the bronchi and bronchioles leading to rapid elimination of the residual tar and foreign allergens.
- Patients feel their respiratory system clean again. It can improve the quality of patients’ life, reducing the antibiotics and corticoids or steroids intake, reducing the rate of annual hospitalizations and decrease the frequency of asthma attacks.
- Salt therapy is a natural method of therapy beneficial for every age group
Our mission is to help people who are suffering from various respiratory illnesses with a drug-free solution (dry-saline aerosol Halo Therapy) which is free from the side-effects.

Children’s Cave:
We have a separate Children’s Salt Cave!
We have recognized that children's and adults' needs are different during Salt Therapy. While adults want silence and they want to relax and sleep children want to watch cartoons and play with toys.
To satisfy both needs we have 2 salt caves in Randburg, one for children and another one for adults.
The Children's Salt Room has a TV, plenty of toys, playpen and junior chairs. Children can play here and they do not realize that they are under a treatment.
Parent Accompanying Child Free.
We understand that you don't want to leave your child in a Salt Room alone but it would not make sense to pay twice either. Therefore at The Salt Cave parental supervision is always free which means that you can go into the Salt Room with your child when he/she has a session.

FAQ’s:
Do children see instant results? How many sessions would be required before you see any results?
It depends on how long one has had the ailment. Our experience has been that clients start feeling the impact after 10 sessions. These must be scheduled with no more than 2 days between sessions. Thereafter the client can go onto a maintenance programme to suit their needs and condition.
Are children on other traditional medicines when they start the therapy? After the therapy, is there a reduction in medication intake?
Yes children are on traditional medication; however there is a vast reduction in the medication intake after attending Salt Therapy sessions.
From our clients:
Q: Do children see instant results? How many sessions would be required before you see any results?
Christelle Troup:
The results are instant. Depending on the severity of the symptoms I would advise 10 sessions with some follow up sessions at longer intervals.
Annerie Mocke:
You don’t see a result right away, it takes a couple of sessions, with adults it’s easier to see how effective and soon the results occur as you as an adult know your body and can communicate better and understand the symptoms much better. Each child is different so depending on what respiratory problem your child had and how often they would get sick only you as a parent can determine how soon the salt takes effect. I do know at one time we brought Abigail in, she almost had no voice, when we left the cave her voice was back…
Steve Neale:
I personally did not see instant long term results with Colby but it was very apparent that the Salt Cave had an effect on him after the very first session. The results of the Salt Cave started showing after his sixth session. Colby was taken off oxygen around this session after being on permanent oxygen for about 8 months.
Q: Are children on other traditional medicines when they start the therapy? After the therapy, is there a reduction in medication intake?
Christelle Troup:
“Jorja was on cortisone, antihistamines and asthma pumps before treatment started. We now only use some Olbas drops on her bedding at night if she has a runny nose or a bit of a cough”.
Annerie Mocke:
“Abigail was on the traditional meds she was on Asthavent and Serenflo 2 puffs in the morning and 2 puffs in the evening. She is now entirely asthma free, and on no medication whatsoever. Come end of each month she would get her routine attacks and had to get the norm medicine of Antibiotics, Allergex, occasional cortisone, etc. But as mentioned she is not on any medication at this current stage, with the salt still in her system and the nebuliser she still coughs up phlegm, so even though she has not been to the Cave for months now the salt is still working. If the occasional cough occurs I just nebulise her with normal Saline and two to 3 days and she is in the clear, along with a multivitamin each day her immune system is stronger than it’s ever been”.
Steve Neale:
“Colby was on many medications before his first session at the Salt Cave, his medications ranged from steroids to antibiotics to inhalers. Colby is now on minimum dosage for steroids and does not use his inhalers as frequently. Colbys medication has definitely been cut down and looks like it will be cut down further in the near future”.
