The Troll is an entertaining story about a troll, who is tired of eating fish, goes in search of a bridge where he may find a tasty goat trip trapping across that would make a fine meal. He is armed with his cook book and cooking pot. He comes across quite a few bridges with different types of creatures trip trapping across them but there are no goats to be seen.
In the meantime a group of pirates are looking for treasure so they can buy themselves a decent cook to cook their fish. They have all had a turn at making a fish dinner with very unsavoury results.
When the unique and interesting pirate characters meet up with the Troll it makes for a rather entertaining ending. I just love the characters in this book. They really come to life with some weird and wonderful accents on the audio version included on the enclosed CD. A funny, entertaining and all round enjoyable read with a couple of catchy tunes to tap your toes to. Highly recommended.
