Ukhamba Craft is a vibrant initiative, converting waste from a local textile company into both functional and unique creations. The proceeds of which enrich the lives of the local community involved and are beginning to lead the trend in grass roots, self sustained start up business.
  
With the inspired leadership of Wendy Chatterton, ten ladies from the local Hammarsdale community are creating products ranging from rugs to hats to soft furnishings that, with a proudly South Africa flare, are creating a stir amongst local residents and business owners alike. With a strong focus on community involvement Ukhamba Craft welcomes all to take interest and experience the power of this intiative by looking for its products at the Iheart Market and Shongweni Farmers Market, and getting in touch personally to follow the success of its combination of creativity, hard work and self development.
